Bible Reading: Psalm 150 “Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. {2} Praise him for his mighty acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. {3} Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with harp and lyre, {4} praise him with tembrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, {5} praise him with the clash of cymbals. {6} Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Review:

Christ is superior to Old Testament prophets—1:1-2.

Christ is superior to angels—1:4-2:18

First Warning—2:1-4

Christ is superior to Moses—3:1-4.

Three major themes in Hebrews.

#1—The Superiority of Christ’s person.

#2—The Superiority of Christ’s Work.

#3—The Superiority of the Christian’s Walk of Faith.

First Warning—2:1-4—Don’t drift away.

          Song of Solomon 2:15—Little foxes

          Ephesians 5:3— “a hint of sexual immorality.”

Second Warning—Hebrews 3:7-4:13.

          Psalm 95:7-11

          Murmuring—a mumbled expression of discontent.

          Two failed tests—Exodus 17:1-7 & Numbers 14:26-35.
