Definition of sin: Transgression of the law of God and rebellion against the ways of God.

Isaiah 41:10

Four Promises:

Scripture Reading: Psalm 138:1-2 “I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart; I will sing your praises before the gods. I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.” (NLT)

Repentance: Turning away from sin and turning towards God.

#1— 2 Corinthians 7:10—There is no salvation without repentance.

#2— John 16:8, 13—God has given us His Holy Spirit to help us repent.

#3—2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:25—As we repent, God makes us new and we can keep in step with the Holy Spirit.

#4—Isaiah 43:18-19—Not does repentance lead us away from our sinful past, but it leads us into the new ways of God for our lives.

#5—Psalm 139:23-24—Repentance us keeps our lives “clean” from sin and the clutter of this world.

#6—Luke 15:18-20—Repentance restores and brings joy.

1 John 2:18

          There really is a person who will be known as the “antichrist.”

          Before this person, the “spirit of antichrist” will be at work on the earth.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-8

          Something or someone is restraining the antichrist.

          The Rapture removes whatever or whoever is restraining the antichrist.

Daniel 9:27a

          The antichrist establishes a treaty with Israel.

Daniel 9:27b; 2 Thessalonians2:4

          The antichrist demands to be worshiped in the Temple.

          Israel realizes the deception; turns to God.

Revelation 13:1-2

          Antichrist and the beast are one.

Revelation 19:19-21

The rider on the white horse puts an end to the antichrist and his army.

          All evil will come to an end.

Three False Beliefs:

#1–Reincarnation

Reincarnation is the belief that upon death, a person’s soul or essence is reborn into a new body, potentially in a different form (human, animal, etc.).

The truth: Hebrews 9:27

#2–Purgatory

Purgatory is a state or process of purification that souls undergo after death before entering Heaven. It is a temporary condition for those who have died in God’s grace but still have imperfections or attachments to sin. 

The truth: Romans 6:23

#3–Universalism—everybody goes to heaven

Universalism often refers to the belief that all individuals will ultimately be saved or reconciled with God.

The truth: Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9
