Scripture Reading: 2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.(NLT)

Psalm 34: A praise for the time God delivered David from the clutches of the Philistines (1 Samuel 21:10-15, 22:1)

Promises:

  1. Verse 4–delivered from their fears
  2. Verses 6, 17–saved from trouble
  3. Verse 7–angels encamped around them
  4. Verse 9–needs supplied
  5. Verse 12–abundant life
  6. Verse 15–prayers heard
  7. Verse 18–comfort them/us with His presence
  8. Verse 22–redeems them

 Conditions or what it means to live in the fear of the Lord. We should view “conditions” as a “way of life” rather than a “to do list” for God’s blessings.

  1. Verse 4, 10–seek the Lord
  2. Verse 6–cry out to the Lord
  3. Verse 7, 9–draw close to the Lord
  4. Verse 13, keep our tongues from lying
  5. Verse 14–remain separate from evil
  6. Verse 14–do good and pursue peace
  7. Verse 18–maintain a contrite heart
  8. Verse 22–become a servant of the Lord
