Bible Reading: Psalm 145:1-3 “I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.” (NLT)

Text: James 5:17-18

“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours”

  • Elijah runs from Jezreel to Beersheba, 100 miles
  • Elijah prays to die
  • God confronts Elijah

Two reasons Elijah’s prayers were answered:

Elijah was a righteous man……not perfect but righteous

Elijah prayed, and prayed, and prayed…. earnestly
