Amos, the Poor Man’s Prophet

Amos 8:11—Amos prophesied there would be a famine of God’s Word. This was the result of Israel forsaking God’s Word. In many ways, it was as if Israel had planted seeds of neglect and now were going to reap a harvest of what they had planted. The Word of the Lord would be scarce, at best.
