John 15:1-8

Scripture Reading: Psalm 103:1-5 “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” (NLT)

John 15:1-8

#1–“I AM” –Exodus 3:14

            I AM The Bread of Life–John 6:35

            I AM The Light of the World–John

            I AM The Gate–John

            I AM The Good Shepherd–John 10:

            I AM the Resurrection and the Life–John 11:25

            I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life–John 14:6

#2–The True Vine–

            Vine–Psalm 80:8-9

            “True” Vine–

#3–Abide–To Remain

            Endure–2 Timothy 2:3; Matthew 10:22

            Persevere–James 1:12

            Stand Firm–1 Corinthians 16:13

            To wait (or hope) –Psalm 27:14

            Be Patient–James 5:7

To Abide or Remain, means to that we trust that God knows what He is doing. It means that we do not lean on our own understanding to demand our own way. It means to lean on God, to put all your weight on Him and believe He knows what is best for you.

#4–So What?

            Proverbs 14:12–

            Abiding is the key to all the “I AM” statements of Jesus.
