Text: John 14:6

Scripture Reading: Psalm 145:1-3 “I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.” (NLT)

Three False Beliefs:

#1–Reincarnation

Reincarnation is the belief that upon death, a person’s soul or essence is reborn into a new body, potentially in a different form (human, animal, etc.).

The truth: Hebrews 9:27

#2–Purgatory

Purgatory is a state or process of purification that souls undergo after death before entering Heaven. It is a temporary condition for those who have died in God’s grace but still have imperfections or attachments to sin.

The truth: Romans 6:23

#3–Universalism—everybody goes to heaven

Universalism often refers to the belief that all individuals will ultimately be saved or reconciled with God.

The truth: Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8-9
