Acts 1:9-11; John 14:1-3; Titus 2:11-14

Scripture Reading: Psalm 117 “Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. For his unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!” (NLT)

#1—No one knows the day or the hour of the Rapture.

#2—The Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ are two different events.

#3—The purpose of the Rapture is to unite all believers, the living, and the dead, with Jesus.

#4—1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 provides the four things that will happen at the Rapture:

A—The Lord descends from heaven.

B—The dead in Christ rise first.

C—Living believers are caught up.

D—All meet the Lord (Jesus) in the air.

John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 41:10 & 2 Corinthians 12:9 “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” (NLT)

John 14:1-3—The Great Reunion

As great as heaven will be, it’s not the main reward of eternity. Jesus is the main reward of eternity.

Matthew 24:36—No one knows.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18—

Verses 13-14—

Grieving without hope vs. Grieving with hope

Verses 15-17—

The Lord descends—v 16.

The dead in Christ rise first—v 16.

Living believers are caught up with them—v17.

All meet the Lord in the air—v 17.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

First, the Rapture is not an escape plan, it’s a reward.

Second, Christ is personally coming for His people.
