Luke 15:11-32

Bible Reading: 1 John 4:9-10 “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a Sacrifice to take away our sins.” (NLT)

Luke 15:1-3–The audience for three parables.

Luke 15:11-13–

          The younger sons request–

          The father divided his livelihood–

          A far country–

Luke 15:14-16–

          He lost it all–

          He joined himself to a citizen of that country–

Luke 15:17-19–

          He [the younger son] came to himself–

          Mark 5:15–a man with an unclean spirit

          Proverbs 22:6–“Train up a child….”

Luke 15:20-24–

          The Father was looking for the younger son–

          A Robe, a ring, and sandals–

          Romans 8:1–

Luke 15:25-32–

          The older brother–

          “All that I have is yours”–

          “Was dead and is alive again”–
