Psalm 42:11, 1-4, 5

Scripture Reading: Psalm 8:3-4 “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? (NLT)

Verse 1—A pattern for our life.

Our soul–It represents a person’s thoughts, emotions, and will, reflecting their inner self. Our innermost being. Our soul is what gets saved. Our soul will continue to live on after our body dies.

“My soul pants for you, O God.”—2 possible pictures.

Verse 2—Living God; Face to Face with God.

          Pictures a Relationship with God.

Verses 3-4—Where is your God?

The Omnipresent God—Psalm 139:7-10; Psalm 46:1; Proverbs 15:3

There are times…..John 10:10; Numbers 23:19; John 16:33; James 1:17

God is with you; God is crazy about you; God sees you; God hears you;

God is near to you; God is your helper; God is your healer; God is your guide; God is your provider; God is a continual refuge and a strong right arm.

Verse 5—Why is my soul downcast?

As we continually pant for living water [God] we will find Him and we will experience the hope that only God can bring into our life.
